Back To My Beginnings

2016 has been a very prosperous year thus far. First, I would like to congratulate Olivia, who played Paulette in “Legally Blonde” this past May, for taking home Best Supporting Actress in a Youth Musical at the New Hampshire Theatre Awards. She was a pleasure to work with, and very gracious in her acceptance of the award, exactly the qualities I want in the performers I work with.

Second, my directorial endeavors for the year have been going extremely well. Antigone went wonderfully, and I am very proud of the work the students of Central put into this show. We have already begun rehearsals on our next show with Maskers: Godspell. With this production, we have nearly doubled the amount of students involved with the drama club, and I am in love with the enthusiasm and work ethic the students are bringing to the show.

Fiddler on the Roof is deep into the rehearsal process, and is well on its way to being one of my proudest shows as a director. We quickly built a strong community and everyone is approaching the show with dedication and respect. Our passion will pay off with a memorable show come April, I am sure of it.

This summer, I will be returning to the show that started my love for theatre, as I will be directing Footloose: The Musical for the Teen Actorsingers summer show. We will be presenting this production at the Court Street Theater, which will provide many unique staging opportunities. I will be reunited with my Into The Woods directorial team and I could not be more excited.

I hope to be making a major announcement or two very shortly, so stay tuned!
